Open training course
Aimed
at

leaders and managers who have to work within teams. You may well
have some knowledge/experience and are expected to increase
effectiveness through teamwork.
Introduction
Everyone is talking about teams. Much theory is bounded around

Do you feel that you have the theory but don’t quite know how to apply it?

Would it be helpful for you to practise team techniques in a safe environment with people facing the same challenges?
Kinetic provide
a unique 2 day course utilising the classroom
and the great outdoors
to provide a stimulating and highly focused learning experience.
Objectives/outputs
For each participant:

learn and apply some teamwork theory
-
opportunity to share and think through specific situations and best practice
-
leave with a set of practical, simple tips and actions to use at work
-
get plenty of practice in using these tools and techniques
-
develop a personal action-plan to improve effectiveness
-
enjoy the great outdoors and in a safe environment take time to reflect

and learn have fun!

Content
We will cover aspects such as:

Approach
The
course will start with introductory sessions and ice breakers.
This will provide a chance to really get to know each other and get
us ready to learn together. We will then use a series of short activities and workshops
to explore the challenges we face through teamwork. The workshops will be
used to present and learn certain tools and techniques as described above.
We
will use many practical examples to both learn and see the impact of not
applying these tools well, while giving everyone the opportunity to
practice, and see the success of using them correctly.
Finally a ‘team adventure challenge’ will be set to give the
whole team the chance to put their learning to the test.
Kinetic
Development
The
course will involve activities in the outdoors including some adventurous
elements. In addition to the facilitators, who will assist with your
learning, all activities will be supervised by qualified outdoor
instructors. The outdoors provides a stimulating environment in which to
explore these topics and accelerates learning.
No one will be pressured into doing any activity that they do not
wish to carry out. Our centre
is situated in the beautiful Wye valley and so the programme also provides
a fresh and invigorating environment in which to study and reflect on your
personal skills and effectiveness.
As much as
possible, we will remain flexible providing the opportunity for people to
relate what is being learnt to their personal situations.
We will teach the most appropriate tools and techniques for the set
of participants.
